The urban environment has always held a special place in my sketchbooks, whether looking at a fine work of architecture whether modern or older, the incidental, the vernacular or the backlands where cities often become a jumble of forms and materials. Over the years I have captured views in cities like Aberdeen, London, Edinburgh, Copenhagen and Vienna and of course my home town of Broughty Ferry.
